“I found all the keys to open the doors for my project. Social Business can change the world, GSBS is a platform to do it together!”

               - Álison Klener

"As a Young Challenger, I built long lasting relationships with people who gave me the strength to keep working towards making the world a better place."

               - Rosa del Carmen Rascón Castillo

The Young Challengers Meeting will take place on November 3-4, 2015 in Berlin, two days prior to the Global Social Business Summit at the betahaus Berlin. It includes a half-day field visit and a full day reunion solely reserved for students, young professionals or anyone under the age of 30. The Meeting offers young people interested in social business the opportunity to receive an in-depth introduction and a hands-on training on how to develop their own social business ideas. The Social Business Ideation Lab is organized by the Social Entrepreneurship Akademie (SEA), a joint initiative of Munich’s four universities which is focusing on educating students in becoming social entrepreneurs.

For the young professionals who are already running their own social business or have a well-defined business idea, experts and social business practitioners will be offering guidance and advice on how to solve challenges faced by social business start-ups. Overall, the Young Challengers Meeting is a unique platform to learn about social business, meet peers, network and gain a valuable experience. The Young Challengers are also attending the Global Social Business Summit and engaging with decision makers about the role of social business in their countries. They will challenge political leaders from around the world, get together with CEOs from global corporations to discuss their vision for the future.

Meeting & Introduction

Meeting point is Café Mandelzweig
Address: Seestraße 101, 13353 Berlin

 02.00 – 05.00 pm

The Social Experience

We will meet at Café Mandelzweig in one of the most important socio-cultural meeting   points in Berlin. Pastor Paul Nogossek from Begegnungskirche and the owner of Café Mandelzweig will give insights into the different social conflict areas in Berlin and what people in need are lacking the most. They will share their experience in working with these   groups e.g. how to approach them, how to define their needs, etc. as well as share   success stories of their projects. Defining and understanding the social problem is the   starting point in the creation process of a social business.
